Prenatal, Postpartum and Birthing Services

Every woman’s journey is unique - from prenatal care and specific birthing wishes to postpartum support for you and your family.
I’m here to help guide you through which services will best suit your needs. The support you require can depend on factors such as your existing support network, whether this is your first pregnancy, and of course, your financial situation.
For the most comprehensive support, I highly recommend my “Beginning and Beyond” package. This allows me to offer continuous, personalised care throughout the entire journey of your next chapter.

Sibling Doula Services
Have you started thinking about how you may or may not like your children to be a part of your birthing journey? Some believe there is significant value in siblings familiarising themselves with the birthing environment to create a positive association.
3 Prenatal Visits: These visits are broken down into 3 segments and will alter significantly depending on the age of your children, in addition to how you envision your family’s involvement.
1st Visit: I advise we all meet as a family. This visit is designed for your little one’s to meet me in a very casual setting. Should you choose a Birth plan whereby you want your children present, we will use this opportunity to create an environment whereby they can feel relaxed in my presence and begin to familiarise themselves with specific words, positions and exercises, I will practise with mum.
2nd Visit:Again, should you wish your children be present, we will do a little more work around what to expect; they can start to observe positions mum may shift into throughout labour, all through to normal noises mum may start to make. Continuously creating positive associations and normalising the experience.
3rd Visit:We will continue on with our work to best prepare you and your family for when labour begins. Ultimately allowing them to feel helpful, creating a causal setting whereby he or she has the flexibility to walk in and out of the birthing room, all the while having the comfort of a trusted, knowledgeable person on hand, if he or she requires it.
On Call Services: I will be on call two weeks either side of your ‘due date’, to ensure I am available should labour begin.
Present for the birthing of your baby: I am there so you can focus your energies on the birth of your baby. It is my role to look after your children, answer questions as they pop up, create a calm and playful environment and most importantly, normalise what mum may be experiencing, through the eyes of a child.

What’s the Value in hiring a Doula?
Whether you already have a village supporting you or not, a Doula will be able to provide you with invaluable knowledge, preparation techniques and unbiased guidance, contributing to an unforgettable experience.
Our prenatal sessions together will cover everything from labouring positions, strategies and tips to optimise birth and comfort, how to fuel your body pre and post birth, techniques around how your partner can best support you physically and emotionally and, what decisions you should make ahead of your birth, to guarantee advocated choices, you have agreed as a family.
Having a Doula present at the birth of your baby ensures there is someone there, advocating for you, when you likely cannot. A Doula’s job is to ensure you remain grounded, focused and energised throughout the labour, anticipating what your mind, body and soul needs to remain in your birthing space. A Doula is there to hold your hand, work with you on personalised affirmations, fuel you in times of exhaustion, be as hands on as your body needs and step aside mindfully as you and your partner share in the quiet more intimate moments.
A Doula is a gift, a Doula is a tool, a Doula really is someone no women should ever be without.
